Job Details

The Directorate of Portfolio Performance Measurement within Defence’s Investment Portfolio Management Branch sustains and enhances CapabilityOne, an ICT system that manages information related to the One Defence Capability System.

The Lead ETL Developer will join a multidisciplinary team supporting CapabilityOne’s sustainment, renewal, continuous improvement, business intelligence and reporting activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop code for data pipeline enhancements, dimensional modelling, ETL testing, script automation and code fixes to support the ongoing demand for CapabilityOne reports.
• Prioritise work in an environment with competing priorities using an understanding of interdependencies and the organisation’s strategic priorities.
• Contribute to the delivery of timely outcomes while seeking ways to improve processes.

Selection Criteria

• 5-10 years’ experience with ETL development preferably in a SQL server environment
• Experience in Defence or another Commonwealth department
