The Lead Environmental Services Worker is responsible for the physical appearance and total environment of assigned areas. Position will execute and oversee cleaning duties of patient care areas, work areas and general public areas as assigned and for overseeing staff for one shift in the absence of a Supervisor. Position coordinates and assists with all routine assignments and activities of Environmental Services. Maintains and updates all staffing schedules, training requirements and PM project list. Establishes and maintains good communication with all department customers and monitors quality on a daily basis.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of Level III program within one year of entry into the Lead role.
EXPERIENCE:
Has satisfactorily performed the job of Environmental Services Worker or equivalent in a health care setting.
Knowledge/Special Skills
Health Care Environmental Services knowledge required. Working knowledge of E/S floor machines and typical housekeeping equipment. Good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to train staff and present classroom materials. Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
