Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Lead Environmental Regulatory Specialist/Project Manager who is seeking new learning experiences and career growth opportunities. In this role, you will manage environmental, regulatory, and coastal/waterfront construction projects throughout the Northeast, coordinating fieldwork, permitting, project teams, proposals, client relationships, and technical reporting. This is a hybrid position located in our Marion, MA office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide all aspects of project oversight and management for multiple environmental, regulatory, and construction projects throughout the Northeast
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the regulations and procedures governing coastal/waterfront construction and have established relationships with key regulatory agency personnel
- Oversee implementation of specialized projects that include coastal/waterfront development, docks and marinas, beach-dune system enhancement, inlet stabilization and maintenance, waterway improvements including shoreline stabilization structures, stormwater drainage systems, and environmental restoration projects
- Support Client Managers with developing leads, expanding existing clientele, organizing marketing efforts, contributing to business development activities, assisting in preparation of request for qualifications / request for proposal (RFQ/RFP) response packages and making shortlist presentations
- Coordinate environmental and technical fieldwork, obtain project regulatory approvals, collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams/personnel, and drive proposal and project procurement
- Maintain relationships with high-level clientele, government officials, and numerous contractors/vendors
- Participate in professional organizations, networking activities, expert panels and other speaking engagements
- Supervise the completion of Environmental Impact Statements, environmental assessments, biological assessments, field observation reports and other technical reports
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Coastal, Civil, or Structural Engineering, Coastal Zone Management/Planning, Environmental Science or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar environmental engineering role
- Private-sector or government experience, especially in the environmental, engineering or construction field
- Proven track record delivering local, state and federal permitting primarily in Massachusetts and Rhode Island
- Experience with EPA NPDES permits, and local zoning/planning boards
- Experience reviewing architectural / engineering plans
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with preparing federal and state grant applications, as applicable, for securing funding assistance for coastal projects
