As the Lead – Enterprise
Sales
in Nigeria, you will be responsible for driving Enterprise Sales growth
across the Nigerian market by developing strategic customer relationships,
expanding market presence, and delivering sustainable revenue growth. You will
define and execute the regional sales strategy, lead a high-performing sales
team, and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to position Route
Mobile as the preferred CPaaS partner for enterprise customers.

This role requires a
seasoned sales professional with deep CpaaS understanding, expertise in
international B2B sales, enterprise solution selling, and the
Telecommunications/CPaaS industry,
with a proven ability to engage C-level
executives and manage complex enterprise sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the Enterprise Sales
    strategy for the Nigerian market in line with the company's growth
    objectives.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities,
    competitive trends, and customer needs to strengthen Route Mobile's market
    position.
  • Drive the adoption of CPaaS solutions,
    including SMS, WhatsApp Business Platform, RCS, Email, APIs, and
    omnichannel communication solutions.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new
    products, industry verticals, and strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with
    CXOs and senior decision-makers across enterprise customers.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Solution
    Engineering, Customer Success, Delivery, and other cross-functional teams
    to develop customer-centric solutions.

Sales & Business
Development

  • Own the end-to-end enterprise sales
    lifecycle
    —from prospecting and opportunity development to negotiation,
    closure, and account growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Enterprise Sales
    team to consistently exceed revenue, profitability, and customer
    acquisition targets.
  • Acquire new strategic enterprise customers while expanding business within existing accounts.
  • Drive consultative, solution-led sales focused
    on helping customers achieve their digital communication and customer
    engagement objectives.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
    with accurate forecasting through Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract
    discussions, and executive business reviews with key customers.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor sales performance through regular
    pipeline reviews, forecast meetings, and business performance reporting.
  • Ensure disciplined CRM usage, sales
    governance, and forecast accuracy.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Finance, Service
    Delivery, Product, Technical, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and exceptional service delivery
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve
    sales effectiveness, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Represent Route Mobile at customer meetings,
    industry events, and strategic business engagements.

Financial Management

  • Deliver annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue, margin, and profitability targets
  • Develop territory business plans and sales
    strategies
    aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor pipeline health, forecast accuracy,
    commercial performance, and profitability metrics.
  • Drive sustainable and profitable business
    growth
    while optimizing resource utilization.

People Leadership

  • Build, lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing Enterprise Sales team
  • Establish clear KPIs and SMART goals aligned
    with business priorities.
  • Conduct regular coaching, mentoring, and
    performance review discussions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability,
    collaboration, customer centricity, and continuous learning.
  • Recognize, develop, and retain top-performing
    talent

Qualifications &
Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering,
    Telecommunications, or a related discipline; MBA preferred
  • 15–20 years of experience in Enterprise B2B
    Sales, with leadership experience in CPaaS, Telecommunications, Cloud
    Communications, SaaS, or Digital Technology solutions.
  • Strong relationship & understanding of
    BFSI vertical clients , especially banks.
  • Proven track record of selling enterprise
    communication solutions and consistently delivering ambitious revenue
    targets
  • Strong understanding of CPaaS offerings,
    including Messaging, WhatsApp Business Platform, APIs, RCS, Email, and
    omnichannel customer engagement solutions.
  • Experience managing enterprise customers
    across international markets; exposure to the African market will be a
    distinct advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence
    C-level executives and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
  • Strong business acumen with expertise in
    strategic planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and account
    development.
  • Experience using Salesforce or equivalent CRM
    platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation,
    negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages will
    be an advantage.

Please bear in mind this is a permanent contract
based in Nigeria

Experience in the CPaas or Digital Identity
industry is mandatory
