Job Description

Lead end-to-end interior trim system delivery from concept to SOP, achieving cost, weight, quality, performance, craftsmanship and timing targets.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Lead system delivery against cost, weight, quality, performance, craftsmanship and timing targets.
  • Drive status reviews, milestone tracking, risk identification and timely escalation.
  • Lead engineering feasibility assessments and robust design-change management.
  • Coordinate tooling development, manufacturing readiness and launch execution.
  • Ensure process capability, product quality and smooth SOP delivery.
  • Guide Styling, Product Planning and Platform teams through benchmarking and feasibility inputs.
  • Drive technology evaluation, proof-of-concept development and future interior roadmaps.
  • Manage DVP&R risks across regulatory, functional, durability, NVH, safety and perceived quality.
  • Track regulations, emerging technologies, sustainable materials and customer expectations.
  • Drive value engineering, material optimization and continuous improvement
  • Align Suppliers, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Validation and Product Planning on program targets.
  • Lead CAE, NVH, BSR, STA, DE, Validation, PQ, Manufacturing Engineering and PVT interfaces.
  • Mentor engineering teams through structured problem-solving and knowledge sharing.
  • Promote technical excellence and adherence to engineering best practices.
  • Interior trim packaging, vehicle integration and system engineering expertise.
  • Knowledge of IS/AIS, ECE, ADR and FMVSS standards and DVP requirements.
  • Strong project management, risk management and problem-solving capability.
  • Knowledge of automotive trends and emerging technologies.

Experience

7 to 13 years of Experience.

  • Extensive experience in automotive interior trim design and development.
  • Expertise in end-to-end trim delivery from concept to SOP.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership and program target achievement.
  • Strong focus on customer experience, perceived quality, comfort, convenience and aesthetics.
  • Hard Trims: Door Trims, Console, Pillars and Garnishes.
  • Soft Trims: Headliner, Sun Visors, Parcel Shelf and Wrapped Components.
  • NVH Components and Trim / Closure Interfaces.
  • Decorative and Premium Finish Systems.
  • Interior Perceived Quality and Craftsmanship.
