The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Lead Engineer – Simulation, who is highly experienced in Simulation to join our advanced manufacturing and automation team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in robotic simulation, process optimization, and digital manufacturing technologies. As a key technical leader, you will drive innovation, lead high-impact simulation projects, and collaborate closely with global clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Project Briefing & Prioritization: Start the day reviewing project timelines, simulation goals, and client feedback. Sync with project managers to align on deliverables.
  • Team Huddle: Lead effective and efficient stand-up meetings with the Simulation Engineering team to address blockers, and share updates.
  • Client Communication: Lead calls and liaise with clients via email - especially those in North America—to clarify requirements or present interim results.
  • Simulation Development: Dive into Visual components, Emulate 3D or Process Simulate to build or refine simulation cells. This includes robot path optimization, cycle time validation, and layout finalization.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze BOMs, mathematical data, and CAD layouts to ensure simulation accuracy and feasibility.
  • Problem Solving: Tackle technical challenges including reachability issues or bottlenecks in material flow—using discrete event simulation tools like FlexSim or Plant Simulation.
  • Cross-Functional Meetings: Collaborate with design, control and manufacturing teams to validate tooling, gun configurations, and spot allocations.
  • Mentorship & Review: Mentor and support junior engineers, reviewing their models, and providing feedback. Identify training needs and support skill development.
  • Documentation: Update simulation documentation, including data sheets, test results, and user guides for internal and client use.
  • Client Demos or Reports: Prepare for client presentations or submit simulation reports with insights and recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E. or B Tech) in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or Mechatronics.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or certifications in Robotics, Automation, or Digital Manufacturing are a plus.
  • Industry Experience
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in robotic simulation, automation, and digital manufacturing
    • Experience of consistently delivering high-impact solutions across automotive, industrial automation, and manufacturing sectors.
    • A strong understanding of North American standards and global client expectations, evidenced by a proven ability to lead complex simulation projects from concept to execution.
    • Practical expertise in deploying and optimizing Fanuc and ABB robotic systems, ensuring seamless integration and performance in real-world applications.
  • Key Skills:
    • Robotic simulation and offline programming
    • Layout finalization and robot reach validation
    • BOM and math data analysis
    • Cycle time optimization and path planning
    • Discrete event simulation for line balancing and material flow
    • Strong leadership, team management, and client communication
    • Problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration
    • Open mindset for learning new tools and technologies

Desirable

  • Candidates holding valid visas for USA, UK, or Canada are highly preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally for project execution and client support

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
