
About This Role
The Commercial Corporate & Investment Bank Technology (CCIBT) Infrastructure Solutions organization is seeking a hands-on Lead Engineer to design and deliver practical technology solutions within highly regulated, large-scale enterprise environments. This role requires strong technical depth and the ability to translate business and functional requirements into secure, resilient, and scalable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
This Lead Engineer will operate across both solution design and hands-on implementation, partnering with stakeholders, developers, infrastructure teams, and security partners to drive solutions from concept through execution. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can work across diverse technical areas, including middleware, infrastructure, networking, DevSecOps, and enterprise platform integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Definition & Technical Translation
Partner with business, technology, and platform stakeholders to understand functional requirements, technical constraints, risk considerations, dependencies, and success criteria
Translate business needs into practical technical designs, implementation approaches, and engineering work packages that can be delivered in a large-scale enterprise environment
Evaluate solution options and communicate trade-offs across performance, resiliency, scalability, security, compliance, cost, maintainability, and delivery timelines
Help convert ambiguous problem statements into actionable technical direction for developers, engineers, and platform teams
Hands-on Engineering & Technical Leadership
Team with developers, engineers, architects, and infrastructure partners to design, build, test, validate, and deliver technical solutions
Provide engineering-level triage and solution direction for complex issues spanning application, middleware, compute, network, automation, DevSecOps, and operational readiness domains
Review designs, identify gaps, challenge assumptions, clarify dependencies, and help remove technical ambiguity that blocks delivery
Produce and maintain engineering design artifacts, implementation notes, operational runbooks, decision records, readiness documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials
Performance, Resiliency & Problem Investigation
Investigate and help resolve a wide array of technical problems, including low-latency application concerns, batch-processing challenges, environment issues, platform integration gaps, and production-readiness risks
Analyze complex technical symptoms, identify likely root causes, engage the right technical partners, and drive toward practical remediation options
Support engineering decisions in multifaceted situations using strong technical judgment, data-driven analysis, and enterprise risk awareness
Promote resilient, secure, observable, and maintainable designs that support production operations and long-term platform health
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of experience defining, designing, or delivering infrastructure, platform, middleware, application, or enterprise technology solutions
5+ years of experience working across large-scale enterprise environments, including on-premises, private cloud, or hybrid technology platforms
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with middleware platforms, APIs, Linux/Windows infrastructure, container platforms, network services, storage, monitoring, or enterprise automation
Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, configuration management, vulnerability scanning, secure SDLC, and production-release controls
Experience with performance analysis, latency-sensitive applications, high-volume batch workloads, capacity considerations, and resiliency design.
Experience with distributed systems, APIs, integration, and operationally resilient system design
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into practical technical designs and implementation plans
Demonstrated hands-on troubleshooting experience across multiple technology domains
Experience working in highly regulated, risk-conscious, or large financial services environments
Experience in a collaborative Agile working environment; Scrum experience preferred
Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar technologies to improve developer productivity, code quality, and solution delivery
Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting delivery commitments
Strong analytical skills, learning agility, curiosity, and willingness to investigate unfamiliar technical areas
Strong communication skills with the ability to build credibility across developers, engineers, architects, product owners, operations, vendors, and leadership stakeholders
4-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
