
Job Title: Lead Engineer
Location: Rochester, NY
Salary Range: $106,000 - $132,500
Schedule: On Site - Office
As a Gas Lead Engineer - Gas Engineering System Planning, you will be the subject matter leader to system planning, provide engineering expertise for planning, design, operation and maintenance of the gas distribution and transmission systems. Providing strong engineering principles, industry knowledge and regulatory standards to develop engineered solutions and recommendations to enhance the safety and reliability of the natural gas transmission and delivery systems, including gate and regulator stations. Working across operating companies and states regulators on gas distribution and transmission planning matters.
Responsibilities
Working under the direction of Lead and Principal Engineers, conduct complex hydraulic analyses regarding system capacity, safety, and reliability projects. Interface with Gas Supply and support Gas System Design and Gas Operations to troubleshoot and resolve short and long term issues within the gas system. Write technical engineering reports to summarize findings, and justify capital investments. Maintaining the Regulator Station and Gate Station Program by maintaining and updating the Asset Risk Assessment of gate station, regulator station, and primary valve records; evaluate stations and develop concept level station improvement plans including the specification of station equipment. Collaborating to develop and maintaining the 10 years budget for gas system planning plan. Interface with and provide engineering and system planning support with Gas Operations, Economic Development, Gas Supply, Gas Control, Customer Service, developers, municipalities, and government agencies.
