Job Description

About the Role

TD SYNNEX's data centers and warehouses run on fabric: spine leaf switching, VXLAN/EVPN overlays, and the segmentation that keeps thousands of connected devices isolated and secure. As the environment grows across Americas, EMEA, and APJ, fabric decisions made at one site, on one platform, by one regional team, increasingly need to line up with decisions made everywhere else. Today there is no single global owner of that consistency.

This role is that owner. As our Data Center Fabric Solutions Engineer based in India, you will serve as the global technical authority for data center and warehouse fabric design: spine leaf architecture, VXLAN/EVPN overlays, multi-tenant segmentation, and fabric platform selection. You will design solutions for the hardest fabric problems in the environment, set global standards, and act as the senior escalation point when a regional team cannot resolve a fabric issue on its own.

This is a design and architecture role. You should be equally comfortable drawing a spine leaf topology, writing a segmentation standard, debugging an EVPN control plane issue at 2 a.m., and presenting a platform recommendation to leadership. We are not looking for someone who runs tickets. We are looking for someone who eliminates the class of problem that generates them.

What You'll Do

  • Design and architect data center and warehouse fabric solutions globally: spine leaf switching, VXLAN/EVPN overlays, and multi-tenant segmentation
  • Serve as the global escalation point for complex fabric issues; own the problem, lead the resolution, and document the fix as a standard
  • Define and maintain global fabric design standards: spine leaf templates, VXLAN/EVPN policy, segmentation models, and platform selection guidance
  • Evaluate and recommend data center fabric platform direction across Arista, Cisco ACI, and NSX-T, including where each fits and where it does not
  • Review fabric designs for new data center builds, warehouse deployments, and site refresh projects across all regions before implementation
  • Partner with the Routing, Switching & SD-WAN Solutions Engineer to keep fabric and edge designs aligned end to end
  • Work with the EMEA, Americas and APJ regional teams to align local fabric implementations with global standards
  • Define fabric telemetry, health checks, and alerting requirements and work with the NOC to operationalize them
  • Lead technical engagement on fabric requirements for new business initiatives: acquisitions, new site build outs, and warehouse expansions

Qualifications

You Must Have:

  • 10 to 15 years of enterprise network engineering experience with a strong focus on data center fabric design and architecture, not just operations
  • Expert level knowledge of VXLAN, EVPN, and BGP as used in a data center underlay/overlay, including where they break at scale
  • Hands on design and deployment experience with at least one enterprise fabric platform: Arista, Cisco ACI, NSX-T, or comparable
  • Deep understanding of spine leaf architecture, DC interconnect, and multi-tenant or micro-segmentation design
  • Experience setting fabric standards that regional teams can execute consistently across a multi-site, multi-country environment
  • Strong written and spoken English; able to document architecture decisions and present recommendations clearly to engineers and leadership
  • Comfortable operating with high autonomy as a global SME working across multiple time zones

Nice to Have:

  • CCIE (Data Center or Enterprise Infrastructure), JNCIE-DC, or Arista ACE Expert; active or prior, or in active pursuit
  • Deep, provable expertise in large scale, multi-site EVPN and DC interconnect at production scale
  • Experience across more than one fabric platform, for example Arista and Cisco ACI, or Arista and NSX-T, with the judgment to compare trade offs
  • Network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) for fabric provisioning, validation, and drift detection
  • Familiarity with NetBox, CloudVision, or similar network source of truth and telemetry tooling
  • Experience with fabric design in a distribution, warehouse, or logistics environment
  • Prior experience in a large scale, multi region enterprise or service provider network

What This Role Offers

  • Ownership of the fabric layer everywhere it exists: every data center, every warehouse, every region
  • A senior seat in the India Solutions Hub, established as the technical center of gravity for TD SYNNEX's global network engineering function
  • Direct collaboration with the Global Director of Network Engineering and the peer solutions engineers in the India Solutions Hub
  • The opportunity to define global fabric standards from the ground up, not inherit someone else's decisions
  • Clear growth path: as TD SYNNEX expands and the network team matures, this role is positioned to grow into a principal or staff engineer function

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 10 to 15 Years of relevant work experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree with Network Engineering or Related field of study required.

  • Other Education / Certifications: - Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Data Center, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, CCIE Enterprise Wireless, CCIE Collaboration, Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE), F5 (or other load balancer) Certified Solution Expert, SNIA Storage Networking Certificate.

  • Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.

  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.

  • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.

  • Able to create and conduct formal presentations.

  • Able to interact effectively with all levels of management.

  • Able to negotiate skillfully, promote/sell ideas persuasively, and close transactions with mutually beneficial results.

  • Possesses strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills.

  • Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive.

  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.

  • Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.

  • Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others.

  • Able to exhibit ability to be sensitive to the needs, concerns, and feelings of others.

  • Able to quickly learn new systems and technology.

  • Able to use relevant computer system applications at an advanced level.

Working Conditions:

  • Consistent non-standard work or overtime as business requires.

  • On-call availability required as necessary.

  • Professional, office environment.

  • Some travel required.
