We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.
We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Product Owner.
In this role you’ll focus on our Secrets Management engineering portfolio, helping shape capabilities built around technologies such as HashiCorp Vault. Your expertise will help us strengthen security, improve resilience and create a better experience for the teams that rely on these services.
In this role you’ll:
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and customers, helping shape practical solutions and a clear, consistent roadmap focused on service excellence
- Lead significant changes with a strong focus on thoughtful risk assessment, effective change management and smooth implementation. Represent proposed changes at Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings
- Strengthen service health, resilience and reliability by championing smarter ways of working and supporting the inclusive adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Contribute to effective risk management and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders. Represent our services confidently during internal and external audits
- Take ownership of designated IT services, driving continuous improvement and maintaining compliance with IT General Controls
- Develop collaborative relationships with relevant PAM vendors, helping deliver service enhancements and resolve issues efficiently
- Connect major projects, key stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring priorities are aligned and customer needs remain at the centre of decision-making
- Coordinate out-of-hours activity when required, with a focus on clear planning, fair support and sustainable ways of working
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- At least three years’ experience working in a Privileged Access Management (PAM) or Secrets function within a large organisation.
- Strong practical knowledge of PAM and Secrets Management tools. Experience with Delinea or HashiCorp Vault is preferred; CyberArk experience is also valuable.
- A strong background in service ownership, including coordinating crisis calls, developing root-cause remediation plans, delivering significant changes with minimal service disruption and maintaining high standards of service compliance.
- Experience leading initiatives or collaborating across teams to deliver outcomes. This could include experience as a team lead, Scrum Master, project manager or in a similar role.
- Experience supporting internal or external audits, including providing walkthroughs, reports and supporting evidence, is desirable.
- A proactive and determined approach, with strong prioritisation and organisational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative and positive approach to building trusted, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs and how best to support them.
- A commitment to inclusive teamwork, open communication and continuous learning, with the confidence to contribute ideas and ask questions.
- An engineering or development background, with experience working in the Privileged Access Management (PAM) space.
- Exposure to evolving technology areas such as artificial intelligence, DevOps automation and cloud services, with an interest in how they can improve security and user experience.
- Experience working in a large enterprise environment, ideally within the financial services sector.
- A curious, adaptable mindset and the motivation to learn new technologies quickly. We value potential and a willingness to grow, as well as existing expertise.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to different audiences.
- Confidence and empathy when working with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, creating an environment where people feel heard and respected.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with users to understand their needs and develop effective, practical solutions.
- The ability to collaborate successfully across countries, cultures and time zones, using inclusive communication and flexible ways of working.
- A commitment to teamwork, knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
