What You Will Do *

  • Develop manufacturing process plans and should-cost models for machined, sheet metal, forged, and cast components using engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Evaluate manufacturability, production methods, tooling, cycle times, and process selection to optimize cost, quality, and manufacturability.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), PFMEAs, Manufacturing Routers, SOPs, and Work Instructions.
  • Configure and maintain manufacturing data in SAP and MES (e.g., Solumina), including routers, work centers, and process parameters.
  • Analyze supplier quotations, validate tooling and NRE costs, and support sourcing and supplier development activities.
  • Build and maintain manufacturing cost models, labor standards, work center rates, and cost databases.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Cost (DFC), Value Engineering (VE), and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and sourcing teams to deliver cost-effective manufacturing solutions.


What You Will Learn

  • Advanced manufacturing engineering practices across machining, sheet metal, forging, casting, and assembly processes.
  • End-to-end should-cost modeling and cost engineering methodologies for aerospace components.
  • Manufacturing readiness, industrialization, process optimization, and production planning techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-leading digital manufacturing tools such as SAP, Solumina MES, Siemens NX, and aPriori.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, supply chain, and suppliers to support New Product Introduction and value engineering.
  • Exposure to aerospace manufacturing standards, digital manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.


Qualifications You Must Have *

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Planning, or Should-Cost Analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of machining, sheet metal, forging, casting, and mechanical/electromechanical assembly processes.
  • Experience developing manufacturing process plans, manufacturing documentation, and should-cost models.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, MES (preferably Solumina), and manufacturing or should-costing tools such as aPriori.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software such as Siemens NX, CATIA.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
