ANZ’s Data Delivery provides delivery capability for the bank in the area of enterprise data warehousing and analytics. This enables customer insights, trends and metrics, supporting wider bank initiatives and enhancing customer service. Our data platforms cover a broad range of functions and products – Apache Airflow, Teradata, IBM DataStage, Abinitio, and more.
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our data team to play a key role in helping shape the future of our composable data services, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and efficient to meet the evolving needs of our data consumers. You will provide technical leadership, set standards, and contribute to the strategic roadmap for our data portfolio.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
As a Lead Engineer, you are expected to focus on best practice approaches in data engineering and development. You will provide specialist technical expertise, supports design and development of solutions that meet long term business and customer needs.
Your solutions should be stable, secure, scalable, extensible and maintainable. Your role includes ensuring that designs are in compliance with architectural standards and guidelines, advising on functional issues and mentoring developers as they work through designing, coding, configuring and testing solutions.
