What We'll Bring:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive MFT Engineer to join our team, responsible for supporting and enhancing our Managed File Transfer (MFT) platform. This role involves solving complex engineering problems, ensuring secure and reliable file transfers, and providing L2/L3 operational support.
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to MFT infrastructure, protocols, and integrations (L2/L3 support).
Manage and support file transfers using protocols such as HTTPS, SFTP, and point-to-point.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement preventive measures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated incidents and fulfill service requests.
Monitor system health and performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of MFT services.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell scripting and/or Perl to streamline operations.
Administer Linux-based systems, including patching, performance tuning, and log analysis.
Participate in a rotational shift schedule to provide 24x7 support coverage.
Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), known error databases (KEDBs), and knowledge articles.

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong understanding of file transfer protocols (HTTPS, SFTP, point-to-point).
Proficiency in Linux command-line operations and system administration.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Shell and/or Perl.
Experience in L2/L3 support roles, including incident triage, resolution, and RCA documentation.
Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy) for ticket and change management.
Willingness to work in one of three rotational shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of MFT tools such as IBM Sterling, Secure Transport, GoAnywhere, or GlobalScape.
Experience with cloud-based file transfer solutions and integration with enterprise systems.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
