Job Description

The Operations Engineer will work with manufacturing/design, operations, quality, and customers / customer relationship managers to coordinate the execution of contracts through the Trade Center Drive Site. This person will be responsible for understanding and incorporating customer requirements into workflow and routers as well as aiding in the day-to-day continuous improvement and maturation of the shop and its processes. This individual will help create a culture of safety through actions, leading change, and coaching others. The individual will also support FLIGHT DECK efforts and participate in activities and initiatives such as continuous improvement, FLIGHT DECK work outs, and Kaizen.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Understand and review customer contracts
  • Production Control Document Oversight and Coordination
  • Manufacturing Execution System (MES) oversight
  • Work Order release to the shop
  • Documentation including work instructions and best practices
  • Internalization of processes
  • Outside Vendor (OV) coordination and communication
  • Support of cash initiatives related to inventory levels and OV spend
  • General shop floor support

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
  • Minimum of 3 years of additional experience in operations and/or quality engineering

  • 1+ years of Additive Manufacturing experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
