The Lead Endoscopy Technician serves as the senior technician within the endoscopy suite and is responsible for supporting gastrointestinal procedures, ensuring high-level disinfection and maintenance of endoscopic equipment, and coordinating the daily operations of the endoscopy unit. This role includes technical assistance during procedures, mentoring and training staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Supports and helps achieve departmental goals. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician or Surgical Technologist program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Prior leadership or team lead experience
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certification as a Gastroenterology Tech (e.g., SGNA GTS or
CBSPD/IAHCSMM)
REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) on hire.
