
The Lead Electrophysiology Technologist (EPT) is a cardiovascular or radiologic technologist who is RCES Certified and has completed competencies identified in the Cardiovascular Technologist orientation and functions as a Technologist in addition to LEAD responsibilities as outlined in the job description. The Lead EPT will perform through the utilization of specialized equipment, under the direction of a qualified physician, procedures that include fluoroscopy and digital image capture resulting in the accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment of congenital or acquired heart arrhythmias while maintaining maximum patient safety and comfort.
