Project: Stock
Rotation: 14/14
Shift: 12 HRs
Wage: $74.50 - $77.15 / HR
Potential Renumeration: KPI Bonus

Travel/Accommodations/Meals: Provided as required

About the Role:
 
As an Underground Lead Electrician with Dumas, you will supervise the execution of electrical work while installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in an underground mining environment. You will work with industrial electrical equipment and ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and site standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all assigned electrical tasks and schedules set by the Master Electrician are followed during the rotation.
  • Act as the key point of contact and on site lead for the electrical crew, providing direction and support to maintain safe and efficient operations.
  • Coordinate daily work activities and ensure priorities are clearly communicated to the crew.
  • Assist with diagnosing, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment as required.
  • Monitor work quality, productivity, and safety compliance to meet operational and regulatory standards.
  • Support the Master Electrician by providing updates on progress, issues, and resource needs.
  • Mentor and support apprentices and electricians, promoting safe work practices and skill development.
  • Ensure proper documentation of completed work, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:
  • Electrical Red Seal Journeyman certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of underground electrical experience.
  • Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core (Basic Modules).
  • Ontario Hardrock Mining Supervisory Common Core or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of underground electrical systems and troubleshooting.
  • Outstanding safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
