
This is an opportunity to work as part of cross-functional team to deliver product designs that meet customer and project requirements in close conjunction with CAD and Mechanical Engineers and collaborate with Customers and Project Management, Sourcing and Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality teams.
At GE Vernova's Rugby site, we engineer some of the most technically advanced rotating electrical machines in the industry — equipment that sits at the core of the world's energy infrastructure. As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you'll take a leading role in the specification, electromagnetic analysis, and design of large electrical machines, working across a cross-functional team that includes CAD and mechanical engineers, project managers, customers, and manufacturing and quality partners.
This is a role for an experienced electrical machines engineer who combines deep analytical expertise with the confidence to lead complex design programmes and engage directly with customers and stakeholders to deliver real-world solutions.
You'll lead and contribute across the full electrical machine design lifecycle — from requirements capture through to prototype testing and design documentation. Specifically, you will:
