What you’ll do

As a Lead Electrical Engineer – Industrial based in Brisbane, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering critical APLNG gas projects through a long-term integrated partnership with a key client, providing engineering and project services that support the ongoing operation of Queensland's gas field infrastructure.

You will be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.

This is an opportunity to lead a team of electrical engineers, influence technical direction, and work alongside industry experts delivering critical infrastructure that powers industries, communities, and Australia's energy future.

  • Be a key point of contact with clients and internal stakeholders to discuss and assist with electrical works for a major client on a large-scale oil and gas portfolio of works.

  • Lead the Electrical Engineering project team and provide clear technical direction.

  • Build strong relationships with clients and assist in driving opportunities to successful outcomes by providing clear, practical advice from concept through to implementation.

  • Work with colleagues from other disciplines to resolve technical challenges and deliver complete multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Manage, mentor and supervise a team of other engineers both locally and in remote locations.

  • Manage project progress, expenditure, and performance outcomes.

  • Drive continuous improvement and support best-practice standards.

What You'll Bring

  • A minimum of 15 years experience in LV and HV electrical engineering with the proven ability to apply this technical knowledge to achieve project outcomes.

  • 5+ years experience in stakeholder engagement and leading teams with the ability to train, guide and support other engineers.

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing projects in alignment with client policies, standards, and specifications.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • The ability to see the big picture and challenge assumptions.
