We’re looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to establish and grow our electrical engineering practice in Austin. Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
8 - 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in the building design industry
Licensed Professional Engineer
Strong proficiency with Autodesk MEP Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Microsoft Office
Deep technical understanding of electrical systems, including advantages, limitations, cost implications, and energy efficiency

Provide electrical engineering design for various building types
Serve as Engineer-in-responsible-charge, making technical decisions, reviewing, stamping, and signing Construction Documents
Provide leadership, communication, training, mentorship, continuous assignments, and feedback to team members
Drive business development by identifying market opportunities and participating in firm-wide project interviews
Support project interviews, prepare fee proposals, and assist with contract negotiations
Schedule project workloads, represent Cushing Terrell in meetings, and assist in strategy sessions
Review design packages and provide clear technical direction to project teams
Direct activities of workers and consultants preparing drawings and specifications
Manage the financial aspects of projects, balancing strong client relationships with business goals
Execute supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining team members, addressing complaints, and resolving issues
Act as a resource/advisor for continuing education topics/needs
Engage actively in professional development
