Job Description

Oversee the document management process across engineering and construction projects. The successful candidate will manage, track, and control all project documentation in alignment with organizational standards and project timelines.

Duties and responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the document control system to ensure accurate tracking, archiving, and retrieval of project-related documents.
• Establish and enforce document control procedures in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate the flow of engineering drawings, submittals, specifications, RFIs, and other documents among project stakeholders.
• Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before distribution.
• Train and support team members on document control processes and systems.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for document control issues within the project.
• Ensure timely distribution and acknowledgment of controlled documents to internal and external stakeholders.
• Generate document control reports and track document status throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure proper documentation handling.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

· Diploma from a recognized institution with at least 7 years of relevant experience.

• Strong understanding of document control principles and practices in engineering or construction projects.
• Proven experience with Oracle-based document control platforms (e.g., Aconex, Primavera Unifier, or similar).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of ISO document control standards is a plus.
