What You’ll Do as a Lead Direct Support Professional (LDSP)
As a Lead DSP, you will provide direct support while taking on a leadership role within the home, mentoring staff and supporting day-to-day operations to ensure high-quality, person-centered care.
Daily Responsibilities
Lead by example, coaching and supporting Direct Support Professionals
Assist with daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement
Ensure person-centered plans, behavior plans, and documentation are followed accurately
Support day-to-day operations of the home in partnership with leadership
Administer medications and maintain proper documentation
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment
Transport individuals to appointments and advocate for their needs
Support individuals with budgeting, household routines, and independence goals
Complete required documentation including progress notes, incident reports, and daily logs
Communicate effectively with team members and provide clear shift hand-offs

Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license.
GED or High School Diploma required
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Compassionate, dependable, and team- oriented
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
