Job Description

The Information Management Digitalization Tools team is part of a global department (40+ members across Europe and Vietnam) acting as an internal IT service provider for the IM Data Factory. The team delivers IT solutions to support the capturing, standardization, transformation, and processing of vehicle-related technical data, with a focus on process optimization and reducing manual effort.

The Lead IM Digitalization Tools leads a team of approximately 8–10 direct reports, including roles such as Project Manager / Product Owner, Software Developer, QA Engineer, Data Engineer, and DevOps Engineer.

The position holder reports directly to the VP IM Digitalization Tools and holds global responsibility, with accountability for strategic decision-making that shapes team direction and performance. It drives improvements in departmental performance and compliance while owning functional outcomes and delivering business-critical results.

Your responsibilities in a nutshell
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the assigned teams with full disciplinary and professional responsibility, ensuring consistent progress, high-quality results, and continuous improvement.

  • Team & People Development: Lead and develop cross-functional teams, providing clear direction, regular feedback, and support for individual growth while managing resources, inspiring team members, and fostering professional development.

  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with various stakeholders like product owners, development teams or the VP, promoting cooperation, commitment and performance across projects and departments to achieve product and business goals.

  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead agile product development and take full ownership of all Data Factory tools and services, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Transparency & Oversight: Ensure transparency and operational oversight by maintaining up-to-date metrics, reports, documentation, and monitoring key aspects such as system availability, backlogs, roadmaps, and performance KPIs.

  • Process Improvement & Innovation: Continuously improve processes, product/project management practices, and software development cycles, while introducing future-proof tools and services with a strong focus on automation and AI integration.

Your Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business administration or IT, or equivalent training

  • Extensive experience in a (disciplinary) leadership role, preferably within matrix or international organizations

  • Proven technical experience in the area of IT or data (hands-on or strategic/ managerial experience)

  • Leadership and management skills with experience in team growth, performance management, employee development and conflict management

  • Project and Product Management experiences are a plus.

  • Fluency in English - German, Dutch or Spanish are a plus
