The role

We are looking for a Lead Digital Analytics Engineer with experience in digital analytics, tracking implementation and data modelling.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can lead measurement strategy, own implementation quality and drive reliable, scalable analytics across web, product and campaign environments.

You will play a critical role in ensuring that digital data is accurate, compliant and actionable - enabling better decisions across marketing, product and business teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Experience

  • Experience in digital analytics / analytics engineering
  • Strong expertise in GA4 and Google Tag Manager (GTM)
  • Proven experience designing tracking frameworks and measurement plans
  • Experience auditing dataLayers and validating analytics implementations

Data & Engineering

  • Strong experience with BigQuery and cloud-based data environments
  • Solid understanding of ELT processes and analytics data modelling
  • Experience transforming event-level data into structured reporting datasets
  • Ability to bridge analytics implementation with BI and reporting needs

Privacy & Compliance

  • Strong understanding of GDPR and consent management
  • Experience with OneTrust and/or CookiePro
  • Knowledge of privacy-safe analytics implementation practices

Marketing & Attribution

  • Experience supporting campaign measurement and digital marketing analytics
  • Strong knowledge of UTM structures, attribution models, and traffic source tracking

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Proven ability to operate in a senior or lead analytics engineering role
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience setting standards, governance, and improving analytics maturity
  • Ability to balance hands-on delivery with strategic oversight

Nice to Have

  • Experience with server-side GTM (sGTM)
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud (e.g. Pub/Sub, Dataform, Workflows)
  • Experience with server-side tagging, custom domains, and first-party data strategies
  • Familiarity with advertising platform integrations (e.g. Meta, TikTok)

We are looking for someone who combines deep technical implementation expertise with strategic measurement thinking.

You'll be comfortable working across analytics platforms, tag management, cloud data environments, and stakeholder-facing delivery. Take ownership of data quality, drive best practices and enable organisations to make better decisions through trusted data.
