Job Description

NXP Munich is strengthening its Automotive Microcontrollers R&D team with a Lead DFT Engineer (f/m/d) to shape and implement the Design-for-Test (DFT) solutions for our family of automotive System-on-Chip (SoC) products.

This role combines technical leadership, hands-on DFT implementation, and cross-functional collaboration.


Your Responsibilities

  • Define and drive efficient DFT architectures and methodologies for our automotive SoCs.
  • Drive the implementation and verification of the DFT logic to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality test patterns for volume production testing.
  • Work closely with design teams, bridging the gap between design intent and manufacturable test solutions.
  • Act as the point of contact for verification and test engineering teams to define and validate robust manufacturing test plans.
  • Ensure high test coverage at Tape Out as well as efficient silicon bring-up.
  • Mentor talent within the engineering team.

Strong collaboration within the technical team and the international stakeholders will be key to both your personal and project success. Working in a highly technical environment, within motivated teams, you will have the opportunity to further develop both your engineering and organizational expertise.

Your Profile

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in DFT of complex SoCs.
  • Expert understanding of DFT techniques, including Scan, JTAG, MBIST, LBIST.
  • Strong hands on experience in RTL DFT Logic insertion.
  • Strong hands on experience in scan insertion, ATPG, test pattern debug.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.
