Channels Applications

Corporate Bank Technology is undertaking a multi-year transformation to modernize “Channel” applications for global payment initiation, with a strong focus on cloud-native, platform engineering, and AI-driven development practices.

As a Lead DevOps Engineer (f/m/x), you will drive the reliability, scalability, and automation of a global payment platform built on React-based micro frontends and Java microservices, running in a Kubernetes-based containerized environment. The platform leverages event streaming (Kafka) and diverse data stores (PostgreSQL, Oracle, HBase, MongoDB).

Your key responsibilities

  • CI/CD pipeline on GitHubActions and Jenkins - setup, management, optimization, compliance: automating application build and deployment procedures, executing deployment on testing and production environments
  • Implement security best practices, including access policies, secret management, and compliance.
  • Work as part of Agile team to define target state infrastructure of applications, including hardware, networks, operating systems and other requirements.
  • Ensure provisioning infrastructure to PROD and lower environments: GKE, databases, Kafka, Apigee, Bucket, etc
  • Monitor system performance and security using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, GCO, establish and maintain infrastructure. Work with Dev and PerfTesting teams to efficiently utilize GKE cluster
  • Work with central teams on security, controls, automation, monitoring, release preparation procedures, artifacts and tools
  • Integrate AI tools and agents into CI/CD pipelines to automate code reviews, testing, and deployments
  • Use AI-driven observability and automation for faster incident detection, root cause analysis, and resolution

Your skills and experiences

  • Many years of working experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration (e.g. OpenShift, GKE), including Helm-based deployments
  • Experience deploying applications on on‑prem Linux environments and to Kubernetes clusters
  • Working knowledge of public cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with observability and security practices, including tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, and knowledge of IAM, network security, and secret management
  • Familiarity with AI-led DevOps practices, including integration of AI tools/agents to automate CI/CD, observability, and operational workflows
