Job Description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve robust CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient, reliable, and scalable software delivery.
  • Automate software build, testing, packaging, deployment, release, and environment provisioning processes to improve quality, speed, and consistency.
  • Maintain and optimize build, test, and deployment environments across multiple operating systems, platforms, and software configurations.
  • Administer and support Azure, VMware vSphere, servers, virtual machines, storage, networking, and related infrastructure, ensuring security, availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Manage and maintain DevOps tools and platforms, including source control, build, release, code quality, and artifact management solutions.
  • Integrate automated testing, security scanning, static code analysis, software composition analysis, and quality gates into CI/CD workflows using tools such as Coverity and Black Duck.
  • Support automated functional, integration, installation, upgrade, compatibility, and hardware-in-the-loop testing processes.
  • Manage software artifacts, packages, dependencies, installers, certificates, software signing, and secure build and release credentials.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools, scripts, and solutions using Python, Shell, and related technologies to improve developer productivity and reduce manual effort.
  • Administer and support containerized platforms and workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives to standardize and automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
  • Monitor application and infrastructure health through logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions, driving operational excellence and system reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex build, deployment, infrastructure, networking, platform, and software configuration issues; perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
  • Support application servers, web servers, middleware platforms, and related technologies.
  • Define, implement, and promote DevOps standards, best practices, technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to improve the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle and coordinate cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, release readiness activities, deployment validation, continuous improvement initiatives, and resolution of issues affecting software delivery.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and introduce new DevOps, cloud, automation, infrastructure, and testing technologies to enhance platform capabilities and operational efficiency.

Who You Are:
  • B.E/B. Tech or M. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related Engineering discipline.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • 6-9 years of experience as Lead DevOps Engineer responsible for design, maintain, and improve the systems, and infrastructure, used to build, package, and release enterprise software
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
  • Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, PowerShell, Shell, Batch scripting, or comparable languages.
  • Knowledge of software development practices and object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with source control systems and branching strategies using Git, SVN, or equivalent version control platforms.
  • Hands-on experience managing Windows Server and Windows-based build, test, and application environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, ESXi, virtual machines, templates, and automated environment provisioning.
  • Understanding and practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools including NUnit, VSTest, Ranorex, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with build, packaging, and dependency management tools such as MSBuild, Visual Studio toolchains, NuGet, InstallShield, Artifactory, and related repository solutions.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including querying and analyzing build, test, and operational data.
  • Understanding of software quality practices, static code analysis, software composition analysis (SCA), secure software supply chain principles, and application security controls.
  • Experience with code signing, digital certificates, secrets management, credential security, and secure release processes.
  • Working knowledge of networking, storage, backup, server infrastructure, and related enterprise platform technologies.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience using APIs and modern automation techniques to integrate development, testing, infrastructure, and operational systems.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools, coding assistants, and agent-based engineering workflows.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Understanding of software release management, installation testing, upgrade validation, backward compatibility testing, and multi-version release support.
  • Experience supporting enterprise, desktop, embedded, industrial, hardware-integrated, or multi-product software environments across multiple teams, operating systems, and release branches.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across software, operating systems, infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and CI/CD platforms.
  • Ability to create technical documentation and communicate complex technical solutions effectively with development, QA, and engineering teams
