Lead Developer, AI

We are currently implementing an AI-native software engineering operating model for Veikkaus.

As a Lead Developer, AI, you are at the forefront of our agentic development lifecycle. The core of your role is to design, build, and lead the development of autonomous AI agents and pods that redefine how we create software. You will architect the frameworks and systems that enable these agents to collaborate, learn, and execute complex development tasks independently. Your work will be pivotal in shaping an ecosystem where AI agents are not just tools, but core members of our development teams, driving innovation and efficiency. You will lead the charge in creating a new paradigm of software creation, where the "how" is collaboratively handled by human and AI developers.

You will thrive in this position, if you have:

• A deep understanding of the agentic development lifecycle and a passion for building autonomous systems.
• A strong vision for how collaborative AI agents and pods can revolutionize software engineering, moving beyond traditional development practices.
• Proven experience in designing and building complex AI systems, particularly with a focus on agentic architectures and multi-agent collaboration.
• The ability to lead the technical vision for AI development and guide teams in adopting an agent-based approach.
• Strong empathy for the daily work of developers and a drive to create AI systems that augment and empower their creativity.

The position is located at Veikkaus’ headquarters in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki. We work flexibly in a hybrid model with three on-site days per week. The position is permanent and full-time.
