Overall Responsibilities:
The Detailer Lead verifies the accuracy of online orders and manually enters orders received via email into VTOnline. This position checks record entries for accuracy and authorizes the ordering of materials. The Detailer Lead requires an understanding of the VT product offering, construction, labeling, and hardware restrictions. Additionally, he or she mentors team members by providing training and guidance. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Job Functions:
Manages workload within assigned team of 4 to 8 members
Performs as mentor and trainer for team members
Works with team to maintain error dollars-per-door targets
Manages daily departmental duties for territory assigned to them
Identifies issues with orders and provides solutions or corrections
Has a good understanding of VT product offering, construction, labeling, hardware templates to determine machining requirements, fire label requirements
Functions as a resource for distributors and follows up with customers regarding projects
Works with internal customers to assign ship dates and customer request move ups
Initiates sample requests (new and rework) and follows up manufacturer
Work closely with other Team Leaders and Department Manager
Confers with Schedulers, Technical Services , and production when appropriate
Supports 5S/lean program keeping work area organized
Available to work 8 to 10 hours per day as required
Observes all safety policies and procedures at all times
Participates in customer service team meetings
Assists with charting and reports for the department as needed
Works individually or with team members as assigned, maintaining a positive work environment

Physical Requirements
Tolerance for sitting long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
