Could you be the full-time PSD (Platform Screen Door) Engineer in [Bangalore] we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and project management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in managing design activities with PSD subcontractors and interfacing with customers and key stakeholders, including System, Sub-system, Civil, Rail Operators, Project, and Supply Chain teams. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the business (such as Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams), coordinate integration tests between suppliers and project teams, and ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of managing subcontractors to ensure the quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) of the PSD subsystem (Design, Factory Acceptance Test, Installation, and Commissioning), but also ensure full coverage and validation of subsystem requirements.
We’ll look to you for:
Acting as the technical contact point between the customer, project stakeholders, and the PSD supplier
Providing PSD expertise for tenders and projects
Producing the technical part of supplier RFQs for tenders and projects
Coordinating integration tests between suppliers and project teams
Ensuring project compliance with internal and external quality requirements
Managing the Development for Quality (DFQ) plan alongside project, supply chain, and quality teams
Supporting project and site operations in compliance with EHS requirements
Being flexible to travel for meetings and site activities

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of experience in PSD project management or related project management roles
5+ years of PSD design experience with subcontractor management
Certification in EHS or Quality (preferred)
Strong negotiation skills, effective interpersonal communication, and conflict management abilities
Finance and business acumen to understand projects comprehensively
Fluency in English (and contract language, if applicable)
Knowledge of system engineering methodology (e.g., MBSE)
Familiarity with PSD supplier panels and the ability to challenge supplier solutions for global optimization
Understanding of PSD standards
Preferred qualifications: System specification and requirements understanding, knowledge of rail onboard subsystems for signalling and rolling stock
