We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Lead Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives across our Corporate Services portfolio, while also managing and developing a team of Delivery Managers.

This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery aligned to business goals, as well as building capability, consistency, and best practice across the delivery team.

You will play a key role in shaping ways of working, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring delivery is predictable, transparent, and business-focused.

Please be advised that this position requires attendance at Asda House in Leeds for a minimum of three days per week. We’re really looking forward to having you around!

What You'll Love

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Delivery Managers, setting clear expectations and supporting their development.
  • Own and oversee delivery across multiple workstreams and portfolios, ensuring alignment to business priorities and outcomes.
  • Establish and embed standardised ways of working across delivery, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Provide oversight of delivery plans, progress, risks, and dependencies across the team.
  • Identify and manage cross-portfolio risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring they are proactively mitigated.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex delivery challenges and drive resolution.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across business and technology to ensure alignment and confidence in delivery.
  • Ensure strong collaboration across cross-functional teams including engineering, product, QA, and operations.
  • Oversee vendor and third-party delivery performance and relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices, tooling, and reporting.
  • Ensure solutions meet technical, security, governance, and compliance standards.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the team.

What You'll Need

  • Strong experience in Delivery or Project Management within complex technology environments.
  • Proven experience leading and developing delivery teams.
  • Ability to oversee multiple workstreams while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with delivery tools such as Jira and MS Project.
  • Experience managing vendors and third-party suppliers.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and focus on driving better ways of working.
