Bring your ‘you’ to TPG Telecom, and help us build meaningful relationships and support vibrant, connected communities. We’re better and bolder together.
This is an important role to enable the execution of our already defined AI Strategy. As a Lead Data Engineer in the Data and Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE), you will be the most senior and hands-on data engineering individual contributor reporting to the Head of Data Engineering. You will build pipelines and processes to transform data from foundational data products to derived data products on a modern data and AI platform. The objective of these data products is to create highly reusable and ready-to-consume datasets that ensure a single source of truth and enable flexible and rapid use of data and AI/ML customer centric use cases.
You will partner closely with Technology teams, especially Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, and Architecture teams, as well as the Networks and Tech Ops teams across the Technology function (OneTech). You will also partner with other Leads in the CoE – especially Data Governance, Data Science, Analytics Products, Business Partnering – to develop scalable solutions, including continuous monitoring and optimisation of data platforms and pipelines.
About You
You are a customer centric data engineering technical hands-on leader that thrives under ambiguity. You influence without authority, and you are pragmatic in setting and managing expectations of your team and stakeholders. Your foresight and social awareness skills enable you to look around the corner and prepare ahead of time to be able to pivot when circumstances evolve. You raise standards but do so with empathy.

We are a dynamic business; this brings new opportunities for our customers and our people. Being adaptable, managing change and maintaining resilience is key to success for all of us at TPG.
