Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead for Data Centre Facilities Management to provide overall leadership and direction across our data centre facilities operations. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, operational resilience, and continuous improvement of all data hall critical infrastructure.

You will play a key role in shaping operational standards, driving consistency across sites, and strengthening vendor and risk management practices, while partnering closely with internal IT and business stakeholders.

Set strategic direction and operating model

Define and drive the overall facilities management strategy for data hall environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and operational resilience. Establish a clear operating model with strong governance, accountability, and performance management across sites.

Own service reliability and risk posture
Maintain end to end accountability for uptime, risk management, and operational integrity. Proactively identify systemic risks across facilities operations and drive mitigation strategies to strengthen resilience in a critical environment.

Drive standardization and operational excellence

Lead the development and enforcement of standardized processes, controls, and engineering practices across all locations. Embed a strong culture of continuous improvement, leveraging automation and data driven insights to improve efficiency and reliability.

Facilities scope within data hall environment

Oversee facilities infrastructure within the data hall environment, including racks, power distribution, cooling systems, and related supporting infrastructure. Ensure clear separation and alignment with central plant or OT managed facilities.

Lead audit, compliance and regulatory alignment

Ensure full adherence to internal policies, external regulatory requirements, and audit standards. Act as the senior escalation point for audit and risk matters related to facilities operations.

Support strategic initiatives and transformation

Partner with leadership to drive data centre strategy, including capacity planning, optimisation initiatives, and transformation programmes. Contribute to long term roadmap planning and execution.

People leadership and capability development

Build and develop a high performing team with strong domain expertise. Drive training, succession planning, and continuous capability uplift across the function.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data centre operations and facilities management, preferably within a Critical Information Infrastructure environment, with at least 3 years in leadership role

Working Experience/Skills:

  • Strong domain knowledge across both data centre facilities management and data centre operations, covering people, process, and technology, with proven experience leading large scale data centre migration, relocation, or consolidation initiatives

  • In depth understanding of data centre critical systems, including diesel rotary uninterruptible power supply (DRUPS), UPS systems, fuel systems, switchgear, power distribution equipment, chillers, computer room air handling units, fire detection and suppression systems, and building monitoring systems

  • Prior experience driving next generation data centre strategy and consolidation roadmaps

  • Proven ability to deliver 24 by 7 service operations, establishing metrics, KPIs, and process improvements or automation to continuously improve performance Demonstrated ability to drive consistency of data centre standards across a regional scope

  • Experience in process improvement and automation to enhance productivity and operational efficiency

  • Strong stakeholder management, with excellent communication and consultative skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external IT and non-IT stakeholders, vendors, and consultants

Side note:

  • This roles requires 100% work in office, based at Loyang

  • Working hours: 5 day work week, on rotational basis between (1) 9am -6pm or (2) 2pm- 11pm
