Leads commissioning activities for complex projects within a business unit, ensuring the verification, validation, and performance of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and integrated building systems. Serves as a technical resource for commissioning planning, execution, and documentation, guiding project teams through all phases of commissioning to confirm systems meet design intent and operational requirements. Partners with project leadership, engineers, and trade partners to drive consistency, efficiency, and quality in system turnover and project delivery.
Leads commissioning planning and execution for complex projects, ensuring all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) and building systems are verified and validated in accordance with project and company standards.
Develops and maintains commissioning plans that define testing requirements, inspections, start-up procedures, documentation and integrated system testing.
Coordinates cross-functional commissioning meetings, facilitates system-level testing and tracks progress and issues through completion and turnover.
Reviews and validates test documentation, system performance data and vendor reports to ensure quality and compliance with design and operational criteria.
Collaborates with project managers, MEP coordinators, clients and trade contractors to identify, communicate and resolve commissioning-related issues.
Mentors commissioning specialists and project teams, providing technical guidance and sharing best practices to enhance business unit-level commissioning performance.
Recommends and implements process improvements, leverages technology and data to optimize commissioning efficiency and accuracy and supports talent acquisition efforts by participating in interviews and evaluating commissioning experience and role alignment.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
6–8 years of experience in commissioning, MEP coordination, building systems operations, or a related field required.
Experience leading commissioning efforts on complex or mission-critical projects preferred.

Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), Accredited Commissioning Process Authority (CxA), or LEED Accredited Professional preferred.
