As the face of our customer, here’s what you will do:
Whether our customers are traveling for business or pleasure, you are the professional in the airport that crafts important connections and encourages an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and respected. You will be interacting with our domestic and international customers in our lobbies and at gates, helping them with ticketing, baggage, greeting customers as they start and end their journey and doing it with a smile. You will provide friendly, professional, confident, and insightful service to help resolve customer travel issues and make their experience memorable.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for timely/safely dispatch of United flights to ensure station and corporate goals are met or exceeded
- Must be able to work with all departments, contractors, vendors and clerical work forces
- Responsible for resource utilization in all work areas to sustain corporate and station goals/objectives and for monitoring adherence of policies and procedures in the various work areas
- Monitor employee attendance and provide administration/operational support for the General Manager and the BOG Team
- Monitors contractors and vendors that perform work for United as well as other companies
- Maintains employee personnel files, attendance records, vacation and Holiday schedules, schedule training classes, monitor Web
- Based Training files for compliance and completion
- Station administrator for customer/employee injury reports, baggage, service revisions
- Provide assistance to the traveling public by performing various customer service duties at airport terminal
- Staff the airport ticket counter, boarding gates and baggage service office
- Assist General Manager in various administrative duties
- Interpret Company policies for internal and external customers
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be very detail oriented, dependable with good organizational skills and ability to adapt to challenging operational situations.
- Must have the ability to multi-task, make quick decisions and maintain a high level of performance during irregular operations.
- Capable of working well under stressful situations with extreme accuracy.
- Excellent communications skills both verbally and written.
- Proficient in Shares, AERO, JET, windows, Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Must have experience working in all phases of airport customer service (I.E. - ticket counter, gate, and baggage service).
- General working knowledge of terminal operations, cargo, and operations coordination procedures.
- Must be flexible to work ANY shift that is assigned to you within a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation which can include late nights, early hours, weekends and holiday
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
- Must be legally authorized to work in Colombia for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
