The Lead Custodian works in partnership with other members of the cleaning or custodial team to ensure the school is a cleaned and sanitized, healthy and a safe environment that supports student academic achievement.
Here's what you'll do:
Facilities and Grounds: Clean and supervise the cleaning and sanitizing of building including classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, gymnasium, media center, locker rooms, auditoriums, lobbies, lounges, corridors, elevators, stairways, exterior grounds, storage areas and other workspaces.
Cleaning may include, but is not limited to, removing trash, vacuuming, and mopping, sweeping, dusting, buffing, cleaning carpets, washing windows scrubbing floors and ceilings, pressure washing, and sanitizing restrooms.
Safety: Meet all local, state and federal sanitation guidelines; conduct emergency cleanup service; responsible for securing campus grounds at all times
Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance repairs and building/facility modifications such as repairing, moving or assembling furniture; repairing custodial equipment; touch up or cover up painting; hanging teaching aids, etc. Submit maintenance request for repairs and modification requests.
Special Events: Assist with staff or outside groups using the building for programs, special events or assemblies. Perform set up and tear down of tables, chairs, and audiovisual equipment; assist with training users on equipment as needed; and troubleshoot equipment problems. May lock/unlock areas for access for building use and events. Move and arrange furniture and equipment in preparing multipurpose rooms or classrooms for special events or meetings.
Communication: Maintain accurate files and records, and prepare reports as needed; understand and carry out oral and written directions.
Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Pay: $21.00/Hour.
