Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$46.210 - $56.610 - $67.010

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.


What You Will Do
A professional caregiver who works independently under the guidance of the Radiology Supervisor and Imaging Manager. Contributes to total patient care by accessing pertinent patient information assuring the safety of the patient: processes images: assures correct imaging is performed: accurate correct imaging and files documentation. Assist with coordination of the CT services operations, to include: assisting with orientation of new staff and students and assists with equipment accreditation. Promote equipment quality assurance and infection control. Participates in process improvement with CT. The CT Lead provides service in a manner consistent with TCMC's mission and values.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 Years CT scanning experience.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - CA Department of Public Health -REQUIRED
  • Certified Computed Tomography (CT)(ARRT) - ARRT -REQUIRED
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous leadership experience.


Other Qualification Requirements

  • Venipuncture certification, required within 6 months of hire.


Essential Functions

    Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.
    Assists leadership with schedules in CT.
    Performs CT examinations and assist with all exams. Checks all exams to ensure quality standards concur with physician requirements.
    Assists with ACR Accreditation.
    Promotes safety procedures and protocols in CT to include equipment malfunctions.
    Promotes best practice standards with the CT department.
    Follows all regulatory and manufacture’s guidelines in CT.
    Leads all necessary safety drills in the department.
    Reviews, edits, correct and validate Inventory Management documentation to ensure accurate patient supply charge entry.
    Serves as a clinical and technical expert resource to all staff/students, and physicians as appropriate. Precepts newly hired Technologists/students and ensures appropriate training, education, and clinical support during orientation to include cross-training.
    Maintains and supports patient throughput in CT.
    Review all protocols within CT and provides recommendations to maintain best practice. Performs Image quality checks on exams to ensure diagnostic quality.
    Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organization.
    A positive role model for employees as a team player and is a team leader. Supports coworkers, patients, physician and customer satisfaction initiatives.
    Performs other duties as assigned.
