Wood has an opportunity for a Lead CSA Engineer to act as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) role for a Bio LNG / LNG Project. The role will provide construction leadership and oversight from a project and execution assurance perspective.

The Role
The Lead CSA Engineer role is to act as the Client’s technical representative for CSA and HVAC disciplines, ensuring that EPC Contractor’s engineering, procurement, and construction activities & deliverables comply with contractual requirements, applicable codes and standards, and project objectives with respect to quality, safety, cost, and schedule.

- As an IPMT Lead CSA Engineer, job entails the following responsibilities:
- Review, comment, approve, and verify all EPC Contractor detailed engineering deliverables related to CSA / HVAC discipline, and ensure compliance with the Contract, Client's specifications, applicable codes and standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives
- Review and provide technical feedback on engineering queries and clarifications raised by the EPC Contractor.
- Review and approve vendor technical documentation, including data sheets, technical requisitions, technical bid evaluations (TBEs), vendor drawings, and supporting documents.
- Confirm that constructability, operational efficiency, maintenance accessibility, system reliability, and safety principles are adequately addressed within the engineering design.
- Perform technical risk identification and support development of mitigation measures.
- Identify deviations or risks and recommend mitigation actions.
- Conduct technical risk assessments and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies
- Identify technical non-conformities, deviations & recommend appropriate preventive / corrective actions.
- Participate in 3D Model Review and other workshops such as but not limited to HAZID, HAZOP etc. as needed for the project.
- Participate in Design Review Meetings, Vendor meetings etc.

Expected:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Registered Professional in any Accredited Professional Entity/Country.
- 15 + experience in LNG / Bio LNG / Refinery / Petrochemical Projects.
- Adept with PC based software for Civil Structural (both Concrete and Steel) design calculations such as STAAD.Pro, SAFE, Limcon, TEDDS.
- Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheets.
- Conversant with Local and International Design Codes and Standards such as Euro Codes, British and American Codes for Civil / Structural design.
- Knowledge in Local Malaysian Permitting Requirements.
- Familiar with Civil, Structural, Architectural and HVAC design and drafting activities including 3D Design.
- Well organized, observant, good interpersonal and communication skills
- Display both good judgment and leadership qualities
- Ability to work with timelines/targets.
- Ability to be assertive and drive culture change when required.
- Excellent interpersonal organizational, communication and team building skills.
