About the role

Being responsible for all operational activities, supervising control points and acting as first point of escalation within the team to ensure trade debtor balances are tightly controlled and compliant to the Downstream Credit Policy. This includes managing expectations of our partners, senior management and business associates in order to reach yearly goals and targets, whilst preparing team performance reports, leading projects, standardizations and other ad hoc operational queries.

In this role You will

  • Supervising effective cash collection and monitoring of customers’ accounts consistent with BP’s credit policies.
  • Supervise credit and fraud violations and inform / involve all relevant partners within their DOA.
  • Leading other Credit Control Analysts on daily operations acting as first point of contact for issues operational matters to ensure silent business run.
  • Supervising customer accounts to make sure they are fully reconciled.
  • Deal promptly with customer disputes / issues in order to secure payments and follow the partner concern path
  • Enforce to the Team’s regular KPI’s (such as working conditions and performance).
  • Responsible for the reporting activities, such as preparing and sharing monthly KPI and other ERP reports on team level.
  • Support preparation of documents and adjustments for monthly, quarterly and year-end close
  • Strong interactivity with assigned Business Divisions, customers as well as contact with Outsourced Service Providers and Business Facing Financials
  • Maintain and develop working relationship with Cross-functions (incl: Sales, Customer Service team etc)
  • Be able to identify key, strategic or high-risk business customers and issues and take actions together with the relevant partners
  • Apply all communication channels to resolve issues and perform daily tasks
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts; initiate and raise „quick wins” where these are relevant
  • Review and assist in making decisions based on customers’ blocked orders.
  • Support Line Manager in all projects, systems implementations, strategic topics and any ad hoc activities needed.
  • Compliance with all relevant Credit Management related and QMS/EMS policies

What You will need to be successful

  • Previous credit control / cash collection or customer service experience
  • Financial / accounting experience
  • People management / supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Fluency in English, additional language knowledge is an advantage
  • Any kind of College Degree or Economics (High School) or equivalent experience with relevant language skills
  • Able to deal with sophisticated situations while maintaining the right balance of customer and business focus.
  • Good level of analytical skills, numeracy and financial awareness.
  • Effective problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Efficient time management and prioritization skills.
  • Continuous improvement attitude with an open minded and adaptable work ethic.
