Lead CPA

Compensation: $175,000 - $200,000+

We are looking for a dedicated Lead CPA in Lynbrook, NY to bring our accounting function fully in-house and lead it going forward. This is a full-time, in-person position, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.

Qualifications of the Lead CPA:

• Active CPA license in good standing.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Direct lending industry experience required. MCA experience strongly preferred. Specialty lending, commercial finance, or alternative lending also considered.
• Hands-on experience maintaining a P&L for a lending company.
• Prior experience managing an accounting team, with a track record of growing the function as the business scales.

Responsibilities of the Lead CPA:

• Bring the accounting function fully in-house and own it going forward.
• Maintain the P&L across the company's lending entities.
• Own monthly close, financial reporting, and the integrity of the books.
• Build and refine accounting policies, controls, and processes that scale with the business.
• Manage and grow the accounting team as the company expands.
• Partner with the founders on capital structure, lender reporting, treasury, and cash management.
