Job Location: 4806FRANKFORD - Philadelphia, PA 19124Position: Youth Mentor, PT CUA 7
Job Type/Hours: PT, 20 hrs. Per week M-F Schedule is based on the program and client needs.

Summary of Position: (Other duties as assigned)
Function as part of the larger CUA team responsible for achieving the target goals of improving safety, permanency, and well-being of children, youth, and families. Conduct weekly meetings with all youth assigned to the Ambassadors Program Pilot and help facilitate the volunteer work of the Ambassadors. Train and mentor youth to serve as members of Community Advisory Board, and to work as youth leaders during other CUA activities. Design, plan and implement workshops, seminars, and other activities for youth participants, as decided by community engagement team. Identify and recruit youth that may be community leaders in CUA region, to serve as participants in the Ambassadors Program, and other CUA programs.

QualificationsMinimum Qualification:
- Must have a minimum of a High school diploma or Ged
- Valid driver's license
- Adult and Pediatric CPR Certification Required
- PA Child Abuse Clearance required
- PA Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training Required
- FBI Clearance required
- PA Criminal Clearance required
- Health Assessment required
- TB Test required

The Northeast Treatment Center founded in 1970 is one of the largest behavioral health and social service agencies is in the Philadelphia Region. Services are offered at 15 sites throughout Greater Philadelphia, the Lehigh Valley and the state of Delaware.

What is a Community Umbrella Agency (CUA)? Community Umbrella Agencies (CUA’s) are community-based agencies that are responsible for providing direct case management services to families in their designated region. The CUA’s ensure that local solutions and resources are more accessible to children and families. Through community engagement initiatives, CUA staff develop connections to formal and informal neighborhood networks that can strengthen and stabilize families. They also recruit and retain foster and adoptive parents in the neighborhoods where children live.
