Job Description
of Performance Expectations:
Prepares food in accordance with daily menu and schedule with sufficient quantities, and in accordance with recipes, sanitation procedures and portion control.
Education & Credentials:
Required
High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions and recipes. Basic mathematics skills.
Preferred
Technical or vocational training in culinary arts. Certified cook or apprentice. Formal training in institutional cooking methods and sanitation procedures.
Work Experience:
Required
Two years of previous institutional or restaurant cooking experience. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
