Job Title: Lead Content Writer and Editor

We’re looking for an exceptional content writer and editor to join our Brand & Content team as a core creator and collaborator.

You’ll help shape how we bring our expertise to market—turning complex ideas into clear, compelling content that connects with our audiences and supports our business priorities including pipeline generation, client engagement, thought leadership, and brand differentiation. You’ll create content from the ground up, work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization, and elevate content developed by others.

This is a highly visible role for someone who loves writing and editing, takes pride in their craft, and knows how to balance creativity with clarity, structure, and purpose. The content you create will help define how we communicate, connect with our audiences, and represent our brand.

Key responsibilities

Content creation and development

  • Create high-quality, insight-driven content that supports campaigns, thought leadership strategies, and key business priorities.
  • Write across formats, including reports, white papers, web copy, blog posts, case studies, e-books, video scripts, podcast flows, executive POVs, event content, social media posts, one pagers, presentations, and portfolio marketing assets.
  • Turn messaging frameworks into clear, engaging content tailored to different audiences.
  • Translate complex or technical topics into accessible, compelling narratives.
  • Interview subject matter experts and senior stakeholders to uncover insights and shape content.
  • Conduct research to strengthen credibility and depth.
  • Support the development of flagship reports and research-driven content initiatives across our thought leadership practice.

Executive and stakeholder collaboration

  • Partner with senior leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams across a matrixed organization.
  • Synthesize input and viewpoints from stakeholders and senior leaders into cohesive narratives.
  • Ghostwrite for executives and help bring their perspectives to life.
  • Work closely with editorial, digital, and marketing partners to ensure alignment.

Editing and content refinement

  • Edit, polish, and elevate content created by others, including Portfolio Marketing and campaign materials.
  • Provide substantive editorial guidance to strengthen messaging, positioning, and narrative coherence.
  • Improve clarity, structure, tone, and overall flow.
  • Apply strong grammar, style, and editorial best practices.
  • Take ownership of content quality and ensure all outputs meet a high standard for clarity, accuracy, editorial standards, and brand alignment.

Content repurposing and channel alignment

  • Adapt core content into multiple formats (e.g., turning a report into blog posts, social content, or campaign copy).
  • Tailor content for different channels, including web, blog, email, and social.
  • Collaborate with digital and content marketing teams to support performance and engagement.

Content planning and execution

  • Contribute to editorial planning and content workflows.
  • Ensure content aligns with broader strategies, campaign goals, and audience needs.
  • Manage multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of experience as a writer and/or editor
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent writing and editing skills across long-form and strategic content
  • Demonstrated, expert-level proficiency in US English, including grammar, spelling, idiomatic usage, and tonal nuance
  • Expert ability to apply and uphold in-house editorial style standards
  • Experience interviewing subject matter experts and turning complex ideas into clear narratives
  • Experience working from messaging frameworks and adapting content for different audiences
  • Working knowledge of digital content formats and requirements across touchpoints including web, blog, video, and podcast, with awareness of how SEO and AEO considerations shape content structure and format
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted writing and editing tools, and the judgment to use them to accelerate research and iteration while maintaining originality, accuracy, and editorial integrity
  • Ability to work independently and successfully deliver across multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred: Experience in B2B, professional services, or complex or global organizations
  • Background in journalism or editorial environments a plus
