About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant to lead enterprise master data governance initiatives across Customer, Vendor, Material, Business Partner, and Finance domains.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SAP MDG implementation, data governance, master data management, stakeholder engagement, and solution delivery. This role will partner closely with business and technology teams to establish robust governance processes, improve data quality, and enable trusted master data across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead SAP MDG implementation, enhancement, and support initiatives across Material, Customer, Vendor, Business Partner, and Finance master data domains.

· Facilitate business workshops, gather requirements, and translate business needs into scalable SAP MDG solutions.

· Design and configure SAP MDG components including:

o Data Modeling

o UI Modeling

o Process Modeling

o Change Request Management

o Workflow Configuration

o BRF+ Rules

o Data Replication Framework (DRF)

o Key Mapping

o SMT Mapping

o Mass Processing

· Configure and support master data consolidation processes including standardization, matching, merging, and Golden Record creation.

· Define and implement data governance processes, validation rules, derivations, and approval workflows.

· Support master data migration, data cleansing, and remediation activities for transformation programs.

· Lead SAP MDG workstreams through Explore, Design, Build, Testing, UAT, Go-Live, and Hypercare phases.

· Collaborate with business stakeholders, data stewards, and technical teams to drive governance adoption and data quality improvements.

· Manage project deliverables, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.

· Mentor junior consultants and contribute to capability development within the SAP MDG practice.

Required Skills & Experience

· 8–12 years of experience in SAP MDG, Master Data Management (MDM), or Data Governance.

· Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP MDG implementation experience.

· Strong expertise in:

o Workflow Configuration

o Master Data Consolidation

· Experience across Customer, Vendor, Material, Business Partner, and Finance master data domains.

· Experience with SAP S/4HANA environments and transformation programs.

· Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and consulting skills.

· Experience leading small-to-medium project teams and managing client interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

· SAP MDG Certification.

· Experience with Greenfield and Brownfield S/4HANA implementations.

· Experience integrating SAP MDG with SAP Ariba and other enterprise applications.

· Experience with cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

· Exposure to SAP Activate methodology.
