Job Description

Arcesium is a global financial technology firm that solves complex data-driven challenges faced by some of the world’s most sophisticated financial institutions. We constantly innovate our platform and capabilities to meet tomorrow’s challenges, anticipate the risks our clients encounter, and design advanced solutions to help our clients achieve transformational business outcomes.

Financial technology is a high-growth industry as change and innovation continue to disrupt the status-quo and prompt major transformation. Arcesium is at a particularly interesting time in our own growth as we look to leverage our successfully established market position and expand operations in pursuit of strategic new business opportunities. We value intellectual curiosity, proactive ownership, and collaboration with colleagues, and we empower you to meaningfully contribute from day one and accelerate your professional development.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Requirements Management: Collect and synthesize product requirements from diverse stakeholders (customers, partners, internal teams, industry trends). Balance stakeholder needs with technical feasibility and company strategy to define clear, prioritized roadmaps and requirement specifications.
  • Technical Collaboration & Engineering Partnership: Engage deeply with engineering teams to understand technical constraints, evaluate design tradeoffs, and ask informed questions about architecture, scalability, and implementation approaches. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and system flows that engineers can act upon.
  • AI-Enabled Workflows: Leverage AI tools (LLMs, automation platforms, analytics) to accelerate requirements analysis, documentation, testing, and stakeholder communication. Demonstrate proficiency in prompt engineering and AI-assisted problem-solving.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Build strong relationships across business, engineering, and leadership. Articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and business requirements to technical teams. Facilitate alignment through clear, crisp communication and active listening.
  • Agile Product Delivery: Drive iterative development processes by defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics. Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks to ensure incremental value delivery aligned with product vision.
  • Project Execution: Create and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets. Identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure on-time, in-scope delivery. Provide regular, transparent progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Business Analysis & Design: Conduct requirement gathering sessions, document BRDs, define use cases and user personas, review test cases, and participate in functional testing. Act as customer advocate, connecting the team with end users to build empathy and understanding.
  • Technical Due Diligence: Evaluate third-party products and solutions, conduct POCs, perform cost-benefit analyses, and assess technical risks. Contribute to build vs. buy decisions with data-driven recommendations.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, MS Fabric) to generate insights and reports. Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs that inform product strategy.
  • Cloud & Modern Tech Literacy: Demonstrate working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle), APIs, microservices architecture, and modern software development practices.

What You'll Need

  • Experience: 5-8+ years overall experience with minimum 3-5 years in product/project management, business analysis, or technical consulting roles. Experience working in 24/7 mission-critical environments preferred.
  • Hands-On Technical Experience (Strongly Preferred): Prior experience as a software developer (full stack, backend) is strongly preferred. Hands-on experience building with APIs, working with databases, and shipping production code is highly valued. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, cloud technologies, and modern architecture patterns. Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineers, review code/designs, and challenge technical assumptions constructively.
  • AI Literacy: Demonstrated experience using AI tools and platforms in professional workflows. Ability to evaluate AI/ML solutions and integrate AI-assisted processes into product delivery.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Management, Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Agile Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar).
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels. Skilled in presenting to both business and technical audiences, facilitating workshops, and influencing without authority.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the bigger picture, connect tactical work to strategic outcomes, and balance short-term delivery with long-term vision.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical mindset with ability to decompose complex problems, identify patterns in data, and make evidence-based recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive consensus across teams.
  • Self-Motivation & Ownership: Entrepreneurial mindset with bias for action. Goal-driven with ability to anticipate problems and proactively drive resolution.
  • Business Intelligence Tools: Hands-on experience with Power BI, MS Fabric, or similar platforms for data analysis and reporting.
  • Bonus Qualifications: Prior consulting experience, vertical industry background, experience in international/distributed team environments, familiarity with DevOps practices.
