The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Communications Technician with expertise in fiber optics, electrical systems, RF technologies, and tower maintenance to join our dynamic telecommunications team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge infrastructure projects that support critical communication networks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and hands-on experience with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Fiber optic cables, electrical components, radio frequency equipment, and communication towers. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of telecommunications systems by performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. This position demands a detail-oriented and safety-conscious professional who is comfortable working at heights and in various environmental conditions. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards. What You Will Do

• Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic cables and splicing to ensure optimal network performance.
• Perform electrical system installations, troubleshooting, and repairs related to telecommunications equipment.
• Install, test, and maintain RF equipment and antennas to support wireless communication networks.
• Climb and perform maintenance on communication towers, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all communication systems and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to implement new telecommunications technologies and upgrades.
• Document all maintenance activities, troubleshooting processes, and repairs in accordance with company policies.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience as a communications technician or similar role within the telecommunications industry.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing.
• Electrical skills including wiring, circuit testing, and troubleshooting related to telecom equipment.
• Experience with RF systems, antenna installation, and maintenance.
• Ability and certification to safely climb and work on communication towers.
• Previous Boom truck or Bucket truck exp.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards in telecommunications infrastructure.
• OSHA 10
• Clean driving record
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
