Job Description


The Lead Engineering Cloud job designs the planning for the company's cloud platform. Working under limited supervision, this job develops operational plans for the processes and standards of developing the organization's technology architecture through the creation of a new cloud platform design. This job is considered a subject matter expert in the information systems architecture and engineering field internally and externally to the organization.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders on the strategic vision for the enterprise leveraging cloud, managed solutions and traditional capabilities; make recommendations on new solutions and technologies
  • Designs and develops new, cutting edge cloud platform within the organization.
  • Ensures cloud platform allows business applications to transform into scalable, elastic systems that can be created on demand.
  • Performs hardware and software infrastructure updates and identifies improvements with the cloud infrastructure.
  • Communicates with management to provide updates and ensure integration of new system with existing operations to support the organization's cloud strategy.
  • Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower level information technology professionals to ensure high-quality and timely completion of projects.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing cloud automation, configuration management, and deployment of enterprise-scale infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Ansible, and/or Python.
  • Excellent understanding and experience with cloud foundational services and cloud governance
  • Broad experience using languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript and/or node.js

Preferred Skills:

  • 3+ Years of experience with AWS
  • Experience working with Linux and Windows Operating System
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in their field, including experience deploying one or more large scale cloud-based systems.
  • Knowledge of current cloud architecture, best practices, tools, and frameworks as well as emerging technologies, trends, and processes
  • Experience using automation and CI/CD tools such as cloud formation, terraform, puppet, ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, Git, Maven, Docker, etc. with real world implementation
  • AWS Professional Certification
  • Experience with other cloud providers such as Oracle, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud
  • Experience working in an agile environment and on call rotation

Anticipated Posting End Date:

2026-07-15Base Pay Range: $141,000/yr - $162,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
