  • Lead the civil engineering scope for Waste-to-X projects within a civil consortium or EPC civil works package.
  • Coordinate civil design interfaces with consortium partners, subcontractors, internal engineering teams, clients, and authorities.
  • Manage design activities during procurement and execution phases for civil, structural, geotechnical, architectural, and infrastructure packages.
  • Ensure smooth collaboration between civil engineering disciplines and project stakeholders throughout design and construction.
  • Support preparation of civil procurement packages, including technical and commercial contract requirements.
  • Assist in contractor negotiations and respond to technical queries during procurement and project execution.
  • Report project progress to project management and operations teams while supporting claim management activities.
  • Travel up to 10% as required for project coordination and execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in EPC, construction, or large industrial projects as a Design Engineer.
  • Proven experience delivering projects in Hungary and/or the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region, with a strong understanding of local regulations, permitting processes, and industry standards.
  • Established professional network and local market knowledge in Hungary are highly desirable.
  • Proven project management capabilities; PM certifications are an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of international civil engineering design and construction codes and standards.
  • Experience with structural design software and 3D BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
  • Assertive and decisive personality with experience working in remote and multicultural teams.
  • Fluent in Hungarian and English, both written and spoken. Additional European languages are an advantage.
