About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead CIB Lending Operations Middle Office Specialist to join our Diversified Industries group as a part of Corporate Investment Banking Lending Operations (CIBLO).

The Lead Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for assigned lines of business and external stakeholders while helping facilitate the timely execution, fulfillment, servicing, and operational support of complex corporate lending transactions. In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a critical intermediary between the front office and back office during the lending origination and trading process
  • Lead complex initiatives, including cross‑functional efforts, with broad business impact within Corporate & Investment Banking Lending Operations in middle office function
  • Drive workflow coordination and prioritization, complex deal execution and issue escalation, data integrity oversight and reporting, policy interpretation, audits, and risk control leadership
  • Assign and monitor incoming credit action requests, serving as an escalation point for execution and data issues; coach and develop team members, support strategic initiatives and operational enhancements
  • Act as a key contributor to large‑scale functional planning
  • Analyze and resolve complex, multi‑faceted, or longer‑term challenges
  • Make decisions in complex situations requiring deep functional expertise
  • Influence and lead broader teams to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Strategically collaborate with peers, colleagues, and mid‑ to senior‑level leaders
  • Lead projects, teams, or act as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Corporate or Commercial Banking credit/loan operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of Loan IQ and nCino
  • Extensive knowledge in interpreting a Syndicated credit agreement
  • Proven experience leading day-to-day execution, prioritization, and workflow coordination within a lending operations environment
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a team lead, coordinating workflow, providing guidance, and driving execution across complex transactions
  • Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) lending operations experience
  • Experience managing complex lending transactions throughout the deal lifecycle
  • Experience partnering with Front Office, Credit, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams
  • Experience resolving operational issues, transaction exceptions, and escalations
  • Understanding of syndicated lending structures, funding processes, and servicing activities
  • Experience supporting operational risk, controls, audits, or regulatory requirements
  • Ability to influence business partners and drive execution across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$100,000.00 - $179,000.00
