$20.50 - $25.50

Position Highlights

Monday- Friday 6:00am-4:30pm; 80 hours 2 weeks

Every other weekend/ holiday

(10 hour shifts) A varied shift could be 7:00pm closing

A Brief Overview

Responsible for preparing assigned food items for all areas and special functions while ensuring all production staff is scheduled and trained. Ensures cleaning lists are executed completely according to Inspection Standards. Ensures all culinary staff deliver the highest quality standards for food and customer service.

What you will do

  • Prepares assigned food items to include, but not be limited to: main entrees, "features," food items for resident meal service and other special functions.
  • Completes preparation efficiently and in accordance with set departmental standards.
  • Makes recommendations to leadership for future menus.
  • Creates daily cleaning schedule within department including, but not limited to individual work area, other equipment used, and storage areas in accordance with departmental standards and ensures production staff members follow those guidelines.
  • Inputs all online work orders and works closely with Facility Services to ensure equipment receives timely and appropriate maintenance and remains in good operating condition while reporting findings to the Culinary Manager.
  • Schedules all production staff members at location. Trains and cross trains all incoming staff members to the highest quality standards and practices.
  • Acts as Buyer/Handler for all needed products in the kitchen.
  • Assists leadership in compiling standard recipes. Completes all duties in compliance with Food and Nutrition’s Customer Service Commitments.
  • Checks food quality, product, and food production.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • Associate's or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
